How to make an easy holiday ham

I have seen and tasted several variations of the traditional holiday ham. This one, I have to tell you is by far my favorite. I am going to show you step by step how to make a very easy holiday ham using Coca-Cola and bourbon! Yum!

How the ham started

Now this recipe started when I was tasked to make either a ham or turkey for my sales team for Thanksgiving week. A turkey seemed far more complicated and yall know I need easy when it comes to cooking. Through the years of trying different ways, I landed of this perfect mix.

While I no longer make this ham for my colleagues since I work virtually now. I still however make it every year for my annual Friendsgiving. Sometimes I bring it over for Thanksgiving dinner as an addition for the host.

Occasions

Ham for Work

I mentioned these will be great for your employees or co-workers. However if you really want to spice it up, bring it to a company holiday party if it’s potluck style. Your colleagues will be very impressed you can make such a delicious classic.

Not only will it be a conversation started, but also I find great interest is shown when you mention you made it with Bourbon.

Ham for other Holidays

I also mentioned I make this yearly for my Friendsgiving dinner. But you do not have to limit yourself to Thanksgiving festivities! You can make it for Easter and Christmas too!

Funny Story

Would it be my post if I didn’t tell you a funny story about it? One of the first times I made it, I for some reason only had colored toothpicks. Do you see where this is going? My ham ended up looking like it had been stabbed by rainbows. HA! Moral of the story is don’t use colored toothpicks!

Please send me a message here or Instagram after you make it. I would love to hear your thoughts. And don’t forget to pin it as well! You can also check out some of my other recipes as well.
